About Dealdoor
Dealdoor provides an online marketplace and related tools to help users discover, advertise and enquire about UK business opportunities. We are not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers unless explicitly stated in writing.
Information on listings is supplied by sellers or brokers. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or availability of any listing and we do not provide legal, tax or financial advice.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
One person or organisation may hold an account with multiple roles (for example buyer and seller). Broker access requires application and approval. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or applicable law.
Listings and seller obligations
Sellers and brokers are responsible for the accuracy of listing content, including financial figures, photos and availability. Misleading, unlawful or infringing content is prohibited.
Confidential or sensitive information should only be published in line with your confidentiality obligations. Listings may be edited, rejected or removed if they breach our standards or receive valid complaints.
Seller listings on Dealdoor are free and include the full listing feature set. Broker lead credits and any optional paid services are priced separately on our pricing pages and may change with reasonable notice.
Buyers and enquiries
Enquiries are introductions only. Completing a purchase is a separate negotiation between you and the seller, often with professional advisers. Do not rely solely on platform content for investment decisions.
You must use enquiries honestly and not scrape listings, harvest contact details for unsolicited marketing or attempt to circumvent platform fees where applicable.
Payments
Listing a business as a seller is free and includes the full listing feature set. There is no seller subscription and no card is required to publish a listing.
Broker lead credits are paid products billed through Stripe, and any other optional paid services are priced separately on our pricing pages. Refunds are handled as described at checkout or required by consumer law.
Failure to pay for a paid product may result in that product being suspended or account restrictions.
Intellectual property
Dealdoor owns the platform, branding, software and curated content we create. You retain ownership of content you upload but grant us a licence to host, display and promote it on the marketplace and in marketing for the service.
You must not copy, reverse engineer or misuse the platform except as permitted by law.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post false, defamatory, discriminatory or illegal material.
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Interfere with platform security or overload our systems.
- Use automated tools to access the service without permission.
- Harass other users or staff.
Disclaimers and liability
The platform is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law. Subject to that, our total liability to you for claims arising from use of the platform is limited to the greater of £100 or the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time via account settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access immediately for serious breaches, legal requirements or prolonged inactivity on paid plans.
Provisions that by nature should survive termination (including liability limits, governing law and intellectual property) will continue to apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page. Material changes affecting paid plans will be communicated with reasonable notice where required.
